Girl Scout Awards

​

BRONZE AWARD:  Earned by Junior Girl Scouts, 4th and 5th grade


1. Complete a Journey, including a service project.
2. Spend a minimum of 20 hours coming up with ideas for projects, choosing a project, planning it, doing it and spreading the word about it. Can be done solo, as a troop, large group or small group.
3. When completed, Final Report and Time Log must be sent to Service Unit Manager for approval and then SUM will send it to council.

 

 

SILVER AWARD: Earned by Cadette Girl Scouts, 6th, 7th & 8th grade


1. Complete a Journey, including a service project.
2. Spend a minimum of 50 hours coming up with ideas for projects, choosing a project, planning it, doing it and spreading the word about it. Done solo or as a small group of no more than 4 girls.
3. Must be pre-approved before project begins by Council.

GOLD AWARD: Earned by Senior Girl Scouts and Ambassadors, 9th grade and up.


1. Complete 2 Journeys or earn your Silver Award and complete 1 Journey.
2. Spend a minimum of 80 hours coming up with the project, planning it, doing it and spreading the word about it. This project is done as an individual and is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. It also must have an impact beyond the Girl Scouting community.
3.  Prior to beginning work on your project, you must meet with the Gold Award Committee of Girl Scouts Central & Southern NJ for their approval.
