Best Badges for New Troops

Daisies

Brownies

  • Daisy Petals

    • New Daisy troops are best starting with the Daisy petals. These petals represent the different lines of the Girl Scout Law and teach the girls the foundation of Girl Scouts. The petals can be done with a wide variety of activities and can be done in any order.

  • Welcome to the Flower Garden

    • Consider doing this Journey while completing the petals. It has a lot of overlap and is a great introduction to doing a Girl Scout Journey.

  • Girl Scout Way

    • This badge is all about traditions and learning about Girl Scouts. It's a perfect and fun introduction for both girls and leaders.

  • Making Friends

    • This is a "getting to know you" badge. It's a great way for girls to meet each other and begin lifelong friendships.

  • Vote!

    • Girl Scouts is all about being Girl-Led. An easy way to achieve this and give your girls ownership over the troop is to vote. Find out if your girls prefer the Fine Arts, Outdoor Adventures, STEM or Entrepreneurship. Or perhaps they want to learn a little bit about everything. Give your girls options and explore with them.
