World Thinking Day 2019

Writer: AdminAdmin

On February 22 of each year, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from more than 150 countries celebrate World Thinking Day. Approximately 140 Hopewell Valley Girl Scouts gathered last Friday to celebrate with two special guests; the Hopewell Township Police Department's First Female Detective, Alexis Mirra and Carolyn Bender of Kitty’s Closet. In keeping with this year’s theme of leadership, they spoke to the girls about how to develop good leadership skills and using those skills to improve the world around them. At Detective Mirra’s suggestion, we were thrilled to donate clothes, diapers, and other supplies to Kitty’s Closet to support young children entering foster care. Thank you Detective Mirra and Ms. Bender for spending your Friday evening with us!
