Troop 70155 had a magical time doing a Journey in a Day. The 2nd grade Brownie troop completed the Think Like an Programmer journey, with a Harry Potter theme. The girls took a variety of Hogwarts classes such as: Ancient Runes (Morse code), Charms (Algorithms), Defense Against the Dark Arts (Debugging).
A few of the challenges they completed:
Programming Lego figures through a maze. Built sun-catchers by figuring out the function they would need to create it. Using "Muggle" code to write their names and then exchanging and deciphering someone else's. The tri-wizard tournament-- assisting their teammates in navigating a maze by programming their moves. History of Magic Class- Review quiz on all the technical terms they learned.
