In December girls throughout the Service Unit met to learn about 2018 cookies and make holiday ornaments.
December brings the annual Girl Scout Cookie Rally to Hopewell Valley. Girls ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade met to learn about the 2018 Girl Scout cookies and to celebrate the holidays.
Girls each made 2 holiday ornaments. One of which was donated to HomeFront for families to decorate their trees.
Girls also made buttons for use at cookie booths and cards to help calculate the cost of multiple boxes of cookies. A mock cookie booth was also set up to allow the girls to role-play talking to customers and giving out change.
The event was completed with a Girl Scout cookie themed bake-off, where girls sampled treats brought by fellow girl scouts.
